ADMINISTRATIVE & MANAGERIAL EXPERIENCE

I have been a consultant both in private sector and NHS since October 1988 in this country. In this capacity I have served in various committees, which a consultant is likely to get involved. My experience in the private sector also gave me an insight into resource management and Business planning. Having been the Chairman of our dept. I have gained all the administrative experience necessary to provide the clinical lead in a District General hospital. I have also attended several workshops in Management Education for Clinicians organised by the Postgraduate board for Medicine in Glasgow and Edinburgh. The areas covered include Structure and Organisation of NHS, Management of Change, Managing People and Discipline, Health Economics, Negotiating Skills, Clinical and Activity Information -Its Role and Application and Team Building. Other areas covered include Resource management/Clinical Directorates and an introduction to purchaser / Provider arrangements/Contracting.

Management course

 

I have successfully completed a modular course on management for Clinical Director at the Kings Fund. This was held in 3 modules and I have completed all three modules successfully in 2003.   

 

In Oct 2005, I attended a 3days Skill factory course run by British association of Medical Managers ( BAMM). Our team won the first prize for the team work Gingle.

 

On  19^th of Nov 2005, I attended a training course in equality and Diversity conducted by BHRT.

 

Fit to lead program conducted by British Association of Medical Managers ( BAMM) :- I am on this program and has progressed to advanced medical management module to be completed by end of the year 2006.

 

16^th March 2007 – Training and update course for Persons responsible and IVF Managers at RCOG, London.

Extramural Activities: -

I enjoy swimming, badminton, Tennis and Oriental music. I also like travelling and meeting people.
